We are looking for a Junior Piping Designer to support the design and development of piping systems for industrial and infrastructure projects.
Junior Piping Designer responsibilities include preparing piping layouts, assisting in 2D/3D modeling, and coordinating with engineering teams to ensure accurate and efficient designs. To be successful in this role, you should have basic knowledge of piping design concepts and experience with drafting/design software. If you also have exposure to industry standards and project drawings, we’d like to meet you.
Ultimately, you’ll contribute to creating efficient, safe, and cost-effective piping systems that meet client requirements and support project success.
Responsibilities
Assist in preparing piping layouts, isometrics, and detailed drawings
Support 3D modeling of piping systems using design software
Interpret P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) and engineering drawings
Coordinate with engineers and other disciplines (mechanical, civil, electrical)
Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and specifications
Assist in material take-offs (MTO) and documentation
Revise drawings based on feedback and project requirements
Requirements
Basic knowledge of piping design and engineering fundamentals
Familiarity with design tools such as AutoCAD, PDMS, E3D, or similar
Understanding of P&IDs and piping layouts
Good communication and teamwork skills
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
Time-management skills to handle multiple tasks
Education
Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or related field
